| Having runaway from Wandering Falls, following yet another betrayal by his mother, and the loss of his boyfriend, Rob, Justin attempts to rebuild his life, distancing himself from those that have hurt him in the past, and trying to forget about the loss that continues to haunt him. An only child, Justin has in the past turned to friends as a sort of surrogate family, replacing his lack of siblings in his life. Even before coming out to his mother, tension existed between Justin and Gayle, as they often came to blows due to the fact that neither one was willing to accept sole responsibility for their problems. An aspiring writer, Justin continues to be turned off by his mother's unwillingness to accept his lifestyle choice, and finds himself alone at a time when his family should be uniting. |
