| A longtime friend of Gabriella's, Mitzi comes from a well off family, but unlike Gabriella, doesn't allow her money or popularity to dictate her life. Her interest in student government delves into her desire to help others, but is seen by Gabriella as an excuse not to find a man. Mitzi is an independent young woman, and comfortable enough with herself to face life as she is. At least that is how things all appeared to the outside world. In truth, Mitzi's secret affair with Rick Campbell, Gabriella's ex, pushed her to the edge. Unable to escape Gabriella's shadow in Rick's eyes, Mitzi ended Ricks's life, and sought to put an end to Gabriella's as well. With help from Ben, Mitzi's terror was put to an end, as she was shot to death by a police officer trying to save Gabriella. |
