Epilogue

She enters the ladies room, unable to even fathom the day she’s had.  Angel stares into the mirror in front of her, and smiles.  She hears the door open behind her, but doesn’t turn towards it.  She picks up her purse from the counter, and is about to leave, when the reflection in the mirror catches her attention.
She looks at herself in the reflection… only it’s not her.  Looking at the girl in front of the mirror, Angel can’t believe her eyes.

Angel:  Ashley Bashioum?  (She questions, almost shyly.)

Upon the question, the girl turns towards Angel, obviously taken by the site before her.

Ashley:  Oh my god… (she says aloud, looking at the girl with her face.)  Who are you?

Angel:  Angel (she replies, making her way nervously towards her sudden counterpart.)  I don’t believe this.  You’re Ashley Bashioum… you used to play Mac on Young and the Restless.

Ashley:  Yeah… so I’ve heard.  I guess things at least make sense now.

Angel:  What are you talking about?  (She asks, almost afraid to ask.)

Ashley:  Well, I went by the studios a little while ago.  I was kind of wondering if maybe I could get my old job back.

Angel:  You’re going back to Y&R?

Ashley:  Well… that was the plan… but it turns out they don’t need me there.

Angel is surprised by the news.

Angel:  Don’t need you?

Ashley:  Something about how it might be throwing for fans, having two actresses that once played the same part on the show.

Angel:  But… what about a twin scenario?

Ashley:  A twin scenario?  Okay… (she says sarcastically.)  I think you’ve watched one too many soaps.

Angel doesn’t say anything about the comment.

Ashley:  But what really threw me was their whole attitude towards me.

Angel:  Attitude?

Ashley:  Yeah… I was talking to David Shaughnessey, and he kept going on and on about some girl that tried to trick him into thinking she was me.

Angel:  I did no such thing (she fires, before even realizing.)

Ashley:  So it was you?

Angel:  Look… I didn’t mean any harm.  I was just there for a tour of the set.

Ashley:  (She shrugs)  It’s no biggie.  I didn’t really want to go back there anyway.  Have you seen what they’ve done with my character?

Angel:  I don’t know.  It’s not that bad, is it?

Ashley:  Not that bad?  They’re lucky they’ve got that Kelly girl doing it… cause there’s no way I’d be caught dead on the backburner.

Angel:  You did have a pretty good run on the show.

Ashley:  Whatever… Look…it’s cool that you’ve got my face and all… but could you try and stay off the audition circuit?  Thanks (she smiles, walking out of the ladies room.)

Watching the door close, Angel reaches into her purse, and pulls out her cellphone.

Angel:  Come on Justin… pick up.  There’s no way I can not tell you what just happened.

Justin:  Hello?

Angel:  Justin… oh my god… you are so not going to believe what just happened to me.
